The Russian Championship is the traditional start of the competitive season for young sambo wrestlers (under 23). This year, more than 350 athletes from 45 regions of the country gathered in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Region. The city of Tomsk and the Tomsk State Pedagogical University were  presented by Valery Anisimova, a student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Master of Sports of Russia of International Class: the athlete won a silver medal in the weight category of 64 kg.

“Today's awards are results of tremendous work. Yes, maybe not everything was perfecr, but the fact that they pushed for one hundred percent was indisputable. Congratulations on this great result. Also, many thanks to everyone who was worried about us and supported us” says sambo-trainer Denis Vyshegorodtsev.

The results of the competition for scholarship of the municipality «City of Tomsk» 2018-2019 for achievements in research activities have been revealed. According to the results of the competitive selection among students of higher educational institutions of the city of Tomsk, two students of the Faculty of Technology and Entrepreneurship of the TSPU became the holders of scholarships of the Administration of the City of Tomsk:

Mineev Vitaly Evgenievich, undergraduate student (4 course, 1151 group); Scientific advisor - Ismailov Gafurzhan Mamatkulovich, Cand. tech. sciences, associate professor of the department of technical disciplines and computer graphics. The area of scientific interests: the study of dynamic processes in tribology; modern methods and means of education in the subject areas "Technology" and "Life Safe-ty".

Gryazeva Alina Alexandrovna, graduate student (1 course, 1182М group); Scientific adviser - Sinogina Elena Stanislavovna, Cand. Phys.-Mat. sciences, associate professor of the department of life safety, head of the department of technical disciplines and computer graphics). The area of scientific inter-ests: the conditions for the formation of cyber data and the impact of the Internet on the mental health of adolescents.

«Open pedagogical class» project took place at the «Solnechny» center during the first week of 2019. 8-11 grades students from 15 schools of Tomsk became participants of a new theme program «School of pedagogical MIRACLEcraft» which coincided with the Year of a Theater in Russia.

«We exressed the features of pedagogical works by comparing it with theatrical activities: «Teacher – actor», «Teacher - artist», «Teacher – musician», «Teacher – script writer», «Teacher – director» – says the organizer of the project head of the department of social pedagogics G.Y. Titova – in the course of the project students were getting closer to the thought that we tries to tell them «Teacher – creator».

All the educational events – workshops, trainings, games, round tables, sketches – should have motivated all the participants to choose pedagogical specialization.

Representatives of the faculty and student activists of TSPU, as well as members of the Young Professional Club in Tomsk, worked with school students.

At the end of the project, studies have presented their sketches on eternal topics of good and evil, beauty and ugliness. The expert activists of the Tomsk Young Specialist Club highly appreciated the creative competence of the students.

Team of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University has won in the Russian student union championship in weightlifting that took place in Kursk. 147 sportsmen from 19 regions of Russia participated in this competition but for the second time the students from the TSPU showed the highest results.

In the individual championship, Vladislav Mashnich distinguished himself: in the weight category up to 73 kg, the student of the Faculty of Physical Training and Sports (FPTS) won two gold medals. Ilya Tsybaev (FPTS) completed the standard program of the master of sports of Russia and won gold in the weight category up to 63 kg. FPTS freshman Morozova Olga won the first place in the discipline «Long cycle» and a bronze medal in the snatch (category over 63 kg). Great results were shown not only by students of the Faculty of Physical Training and Sports – a second-year student of the Faculty of Psychology Alexandra Indychenko brought a bronze medal in the discipline "Long cycle" (in weight up to 63 kg).

In addition, the second place in the classic relay was taken by the team of the TSPU consisting of: Kadimov Rakhmon (The Faculty of Biology and Chemistry), Mashnich Vladislav (FPTS), Luksha Vladimir (FPTS), Novikov Alexey (FPTS), Denisenko Dmitry (The Faculty of Biology and Chemistry).

Year of 2018 comes to its end. It was challenging for one of the eldest pedagogical universities of Siberia. But that makes our achievements even more meaningful. Once again, the TSPU is recognized as one of the best pedagogical university in Russia. For 11 days from March 2 until March 12 Krasnoyarsk will become the venue for the Winter Universiade. Siberia has not yet taken sporting events of such scale. For Krasnoyarsk, hosting of the Universiade is an honor, responsibility and a unique chance to show the world the Siberian character and hospitality. We will conduct Student Games of such class that have not been seen been. Athletes and guests of the Winter Universiade 2019, being in the center of Russia, will take part in an exciting sports festival and will be able to discover such distant, mysterious and beautiful Siberia in its winter glory.

In the XXIX World Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk will participate more than 3050 sports delegates from more than 50 countries. They will compete for 76 sets of medals in 11 sports categories. The event will hold around 110,000 guests. More than 15,000 people will be involved in the volunteer movement of the Winter Universiade 2019. 1.5 billion viewers around the world will watch the competitions in Krasnoyarsk. Over 1,000 journalists will come to Krasnoyarsk to cover the Games in the media. 11,000 spectators will attend the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games. 665 torchbearers will take part in the fire relay race of the winter 2019 Winter Universiade.

For the first time, a meeting with colleagues from educational institutions of Henan Province (Luoyang, China) was held at the Tomsk State Pedagogical University. Among the guests arrived to discuss cooperation with the TSPU were: the Director of the Center for the Exchange of Educational Services of the High School at Henan University of Technology Li Xiao, Deputy Director of the High School at Henan University of Technology Zhang Ming, Deputy Director of the High School at Henan University of Technology Wang Demao, General Director of Henan Education International Travel Service Co., Ltd. Chen Bingwei, Director of the Loyang Pedagogical Institute Research Center Zhang Xin, Director of the Loyang Pedagogical Institute Information Center Zhang Zhaoyu, Secretary of the Educational Resources Committee of the Society for Education of Hebei Province Wu Wenhao.

During the visit, the guests took part in a a sightseeing tour of the Tomsk Pedagogical, together with representatives of the university administration and staff of the TSPU international cooperation department discussed training of Chinese students for education in Russia, academic exchanges, training of teachers of Luoyang in the TSPU, possible participation of the TSPU representatives in the Luoyang conference in March 2019, cooperation in the training of teachers of the Russian language for secondary schools in Luoyang, the signing of a framework agreement between the TSPU and the Luoyang pedagogical University.

The XIII Regional Scientific and Practical Conference for Schoolchildren "I am studying nature" and the exhibition-festival "Science for Children" took place atthe Center for Additional Physics, Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the TSPU. The conference was attended by over 160 students from 1-11 grades from 33 educational institutions of Tomsk and the Tomsk Region.

The conference started with the exhibition-festival “Science for Children”. The participants demonstrated interesting exhibits and experiments, introduced designs and projects, and conducted workshops. This year, the following educational organizations took part in the exhibition-festival: the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the TSPU, the Center for Entertaining Sciences "Sklad uma", the Point of Gravity Science Museum, and the TUSUR STEM-Center.

The conference had 14 sections for different age categories of participants. The heads of the sections were teachers of the TSPU and teachers of the city’s schools, while students and undergraduates of Tomsk universities helped them.

The future students of the Tomsk state pedagogical university from Mongolia arrived in Tomsk to study Russian at the faculty of foreign languages of the TSPU. An intensive educational program of  provides effective resulst, but Mongolian students do not forget about the cultural life of Siberia. The employees of the Scientific Library of the TSPU organized a couple of tours on the library and the museums of the library to help the newcomers get familiar with the new space.

During the tour, the studnets were able to get acquainted with the main halls and catalogs.The guests showed great interest in the museum of the writer, the author of the fairy-tale cycle “The Wizard of the Emerald City,” a graduate of the Tomsk Teachers' Institute A.M. Volkov.

The second theoretical and practical conference "Preschool and elementary education: features of the family pedagogics as succession trend" was held at the Scientific library of the TSPU. The event was organized by the employees of the department of pedagogics and methodology of elementary education and the department of preschool education of the Institute of psychology and pedagogics of the TSPU.

The conference was dedicated to the continuity of preschool and elementary education. During the first section the participants discussed issues of cooperation with families under the conditions of modernization of preschool and elementary education. The second section was focused on psychological and pedagogical influence of a modem family on the development of children, who are going to enter their first grade.

More than 50 teachers of preschool and comprehensive schools of Tomsk and Tomsk region together with psychologists, speech therapists, teaching methods specialist, students.
