Tomsk State Pedagogical University confirmed the status of the best pedagogical university of the country and Eastern Europe and again took first place in the rating by the international agency QS.
In total, the new list includes 100 of the best Russian universities (about 15% of all universities in the Russian Federation). For the third year in a row the TSPU has taken a leading position among pedagogical universities of Russia. In addition, the Tomsk State Pedagogical University entered the first 5% of the best universities in the country in all areas. In terms of citation, TSPU, as before, ranks first among Russian universities.
The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Mikhail Kotyukov commented on the results of the rating: “We have ambitious goals in terms of developing the export of educational services that can be achieved by combining modern educational technologies, an innovative approach, the best traditions of the Soviet school and international experience. In addition to the task of doubling the number of foreign students in the next 5 years, a key component for us is the qualitative component - attracting talented youth to the country, its employment in Russia and the growth of income from the export of educational services. We consider the export of education as a full-fledged sphere of economic activity. With such high competition in the global education market that exists today, the search for unique educational niches and the development of competitive products is not an easy task. This is a challenge to the country and every university. Thanks to the resources of the national projects 'Education' and 'Science', we are able to approach differentially the various groups of foreign applicants, which is extremely important. In addition, we provide continuous training of teachers, the development of infrastructure of universities and cities. All this is an investment in the 'Russian education' brand, which in the coming years should regain its leadership in the most prestigious world ratings"
The ranking of universities is based on a comparative analysis according to the main criteria: scientific reputation, reputation among employers, the ratio of the number of students to the pedagogical staff of the university, publication activity, the percentage of foreign students and foreign teachers, scientific citation of publications, presence on the Internet, etc.

STUDENTS OF TSPU CONQUERED THE SCENE OF THE ALL-RUSSIAN PROJECT "DANCES" ON TNT CHANNEL
A competitive selection of participants for the new season of the popular project "DANCES", which is broadcast on TNT took place in Krasnoyarsk. Student of the Department of Culture and Arts Ksenia Nikitina and a graduate of the same department Sergey Druzhinin successfully presented an unusual number in the style of modern choreography.
Time and again the guys perform together and win the hearts of the audience with their own professional performance. They also came to a large-scale project with a bold statement: "We are one of the strongest duets of this casting." The tutors of the TSPU students, the project mentors - Yegor Druzhinin, Miguel and Tatyana Denisova – highly appreciated and unanimously supported the artists' further fight for the title of the best dancer in Russia.

According to the rules of the project, in the future the duet will be disbanded, Sergey and Ksenia will have to participate in the trials independently. But this doesn’t bother the guys: students of TSPU want to go this way in different teams. “I would like to join Miguel’s team. He inspires me as a person and I like what he does! Undoubtedly, other mentors attract me, but I feel that I will have contact with Miguel”, - Sergey shares his thoughts. “And I would prefer Yegor, I really like his view on the choreography and on the project itself”, - said Ksenia.
Our participants were lavish in advice to colleagues who have yet to go through the casting: “You need something original, interesting and extravagant. Just a cool number is not enough in my opinion. We need a strong and confident personality, core, charisma! And then, perhaps, everything will be successful", - Sergey recommended.
