As The World Youth Festival, uniting 20,000 global participants in Russia, concludes, we delve into the experiences of TSPU students and staff.

On March 21st, the Department of Languages of the Peoples of Siberia hosted the annual event «Tales in the languages of the peoples of Russia over a cup of tea». Participants from various cities across the country, including Tomsk, Asino, Kemerovo, and Moscow, convened online to share and discuss fairy tales in endangered languages and dialects, highlighting their cultural significance and potential for preservation. 

Every year on January 25th, Russia celebrates an important holiday — Student’s Day. The Tomsk State Pedagogical University (TSPU) congratulated its students, making this day vibrant and memorable. 

First of all, together, Tomsk major universities created a set of greeting cards that symbolize the unity of Tomsk educational institutions and respect for student status.

The International Botanical Illustration Contest was organized by the Department of Biology of the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia. Our students Tatiana Sobina and Ekaterina Sycheva (second year) and Arina Maryina and Ekaterina Frolova (fifth year) demonstrated their knowledge and creative talents in the contest. The professional competition was organized by the Department of Biology of Herzen State Pedagogical University.

Chinese master's students studying at the Tomsk State Pedagogical University (TSPU) immersed themselves in Russian cultural traditions during a visit to a Tomsk city school.

The students, specializing in Russian as a foreign language, explored traditions of New Year celebrations as part of a project titled «School Museum of the 21st Century: New Horizons».

Students from Tomsk State Pedagogical University's Institute of the Faculty of History and Philology have won at the city's «Reactor of Knowledge» hackathon.

We are pleased to announce that Tomsk State Pedagogical University has recently been recognized by the Highest Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The commission has categorized a list of scientific editions in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Science and Doctor of Science should be published. The list includes three scientific periodicals of Tomsk State Pedagogical University.

The Institute of Foreign Languages and International Cooperation organized the first session of the online speaking club, which was attended by students fro, Kenya who are styding at the Center for Open Education in Russian language. The session was organized according to the technology of "learning in tandem": communication took place in Russian and English, which allowed all participants to improve their foreign language skills. 

Senior students from various faculties of the TSPU recently showcased their teaching skills in thematic lessons for schoolchildren as part of the «We are trusted with childhood» professional competition. 

On November 11 and 13, Seversk hosted the Interregional Robotic Competition "RoboRally," organized by the Seversk Center for Digital Education "IT-Cube" and the Pedagogical Technopark "Quantorium" named after B.I. Vershinin at the TSPU. The event was attended by 37 school students.
