He also emphasized that TSPU students emerged victorious in all tournament categories.
Denis Bazavluk, a student from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, claimed the championship title once again, achieving a confident win in the "Solo Routine" discipline. Anna Yegorova, a student from the Institute of Foreign Languages and International Cooperation, secured first place in two categories: "Duo – Free Style" and "Group – Free Style," meeting the requirements for the first sports rank. Students from other faculties also performed great, including Ksenia Mansvetova, Ilya Mongolin, and Yuri Shklyarov (Faculty of History and Philology) and Alina Lobanova (Faculty of Biology and Chemistry). The winners were coached by Viktor Lobanov, who attributed the athletes' success to years of collaboration between the university's structural divisions and the Tomsk Region Fencing Federation, along with the use of advanced training methods in artistic fencing.
«The success of TSPU students in the competition is a natural outcome of years of collaborative work between the university’s departments as part of the experimental platform ‘Self-Organization of Youth Through Collective Activities in Fencing.’ The partnership between the Institute of Teacher Education Development, the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, and the Tomsk Region Fencing Federation has enabled the development of advanced training methods in artistic fencing. These methods consistently bring TSPU students to the podium at competitions and prestigious festivals across various cities in Russia», — said Viktor Lobanov.
Viktor Lobanov also highlighted that his students are now stepping into mentorship roles, with their protégés achieving success in this year’s championship. For instance, Timur Boltovsky, coached by Denis Bazavluk, earned third place in the "Solo Routine" discipline.
