The second Conest of students from pedagogical universities of the Siberian Federal District on subjects "Mathematics" and "Methods of teaching mathematics" was held in Novosibirsk from April 18 to April 20. The team of the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of Tomsk State Pedagogical University took part in the competition.In addition to students of the TSPU, representatives of six universities participated in the Contest: Altai State Pedagogical University, Irkutsk State University, Ishim Pedagogical Institute named after P.P. Ershov (branch of Tyumen State University); Transbaikal State University; Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University as well as the State University named after Shakarim (Republic of Kazakhstan, city of Semey).

Our university was represented by a team of second, third and fifth year students of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. While students were solving problems, teachers that were accompanying teams, attended a number of seminars. One of them was devoted to the problems of mathematical education in pedagogical universities. According to the leaders of the teams, such Contest evoke conscious and in-depth study of mathematics. Also, representatives of universities note the role of competitions in expanding the horizons of students and the growth of their professional competencies.

In the overall standings the students of the TSPU took the first place.Students of the 5th course: Sannikova Anastasia, Balibina Victoria and Otto Ekaterina became the winners of the team stage in the methods of teaching mathematics.Anastasia Zubtsova (3rd year), Alexandra Noskova (2nd year), Maria Zhurkina (2nd year) took the 3rd place in the team round of the Olympiad in Mathematics.Sannikova Anastasia took the first place in the individual championship in the method of teaching mathematics

Students of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University have always participated in the Regional School of Guides. Some of our experienced activists-counselors share their knowledge with the younger generation, while other students of the TSPU together with like-minded people from the regional detachments are being trained.

To prepare for the summer camp season in 2019, more than 100 children from secondary vocational education institutions Danko, Kapella, Gorro, Yunost, Fakel, Kanikuly and Rocket.

“The school of guides is very intensive, interesting and informative, - says Anastasia Klokova, the organaized of TSPU “City Summer” project. - All the participants were mixed together and divided into five groups, as in a real summer camp. Classes are held four times a week (three practical and one general), in addition the participants also will listen to series of lectures on the educational platform”

From the theoretical sessions, participants learned about the temporary children's team, the image of a guide and companionship. Also, the organizers are planning to conduct lectures on the structure of the student camps and the basics of first aid.

The participants from school were able to show their creative abilities in organizing diffrenet all-camp cases: “How to tame a dragon?”, “Race with reality” and others. Within each event, future guides pass through various stations, carrying out team assignments.As in any educational institution at a convention, it is necessary to prove your knowledge by passing exams. To confirm their readiness to join the ranks of guides, the pretenders had united in groups and developed a project on the topic “Organizational Shift Period”, which they defended in front of the School mentors.

In the framework of the international student's book platform "Children's Books as Wings", organized by the leading researcher of children's literature, Ph.D., associate professor M. S. Kostyukhina of the  Russian State Pedagogical University named after Herzen (with the support of the "Russian World" foundation),  a series of educational, scientific, and educational events took place.

Students of pedagogical universities from Tomsk, Yekaterinburg, Perm, as well as Kazakhstan, Poland, Armenia, Finland were invited to Saint Petersburg.

Students and undergraduates of the faculty of history and philology TSPU under the leadership of the head of Department of Russian Literature Elena Aleksandrovna Polevaya took an active part not only in the cultural program, but also in debates on the most relevant topics of children's reading, organized by students of Herzen Pedagogical.

By communicating with guys from different cities and countries who chose the profession of a philologist and teacher for themselves, TSPU students got insights into the educational traditions of other universities and become stronger in love and loyalty to their Alma Mater.

The final stage of the All-Russian Competition among Schoolchildren  in Physics 2018-2019 school year has ended in Tomsk. More than three hundred schoolchildren from different regions of Russia competed in solving theoretical and experimental problems in physics. 137 people showed high results. Leo Milovantsev, a graduate of the Center for Additional Physics, Mathematics and Science Education of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University, successfully perfomed at this event.

Leo is a regular participant of the trainings sessions organized by the Center for Additional Physics, Mathematics and Science Education of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University. He works with well-known Russian teacher, the staff of the Department of the Development of Physical Education of the TSPU.

Graduate students of TSPU visited the “Pedagogical job fair” organized by the university, which was the final stage of the regional career event “Career Days in TSPU”. The fair was held in order to create a platform for interaction between employing organizations and students of TSPU, promoting professional self-determination and employment of students and graduates who have completed pedagogical training.

There were 54 applications submitted for full-time and part-time participation in fair from employing organizations, including representatives from the Basanday, Chernorechensky, Kaftanchik, Moryakovka schools, the Tomsk Economic and Industrial College and the Tomsk Basic Medical College, and educational institutions in Seversk and Mezhdurechensk. More than 200 graduates attended the Fair.

The fair provided the following features:
Information about open vacancies and opportunities for practical training, direct dialogue with students and job seekers, filling out questionnaires, sharing resumes and business cards. The organizing volunteers introduced the applicants to vacancies by participants-employers represented by information stand and registered in the “Catalog of Pedagogical Vacancies”.

During the Fair a lecture titled “Labor Legislation. What is important to know when entering the labor market” was held. The students of Tomsk State Pedagogical College were able to meet with the executive secretary of the admission committee of the TSPU, who introduced future applicants to the faculties of the TSPU, areas of training and admission conditions in 2019. 

The awarding ceremony of the winners of the competition for the Prize of the Legislative Duma of the Tomsk Region for young scientists and young talents - 2018 took place at the Tomsk Drama Theater. The fourth-year student of the Faculty of Technology and Entrepreneurship of the TSPU, Vitaly E. Mineev (supervisor - Ismailov Gafurzhan Mamatkulovich, Ph.D., associate professor of technical disciplines and computer graphics, FTP TGPU) became the winner in the nomination "Humanities" among young scientists.

This time more than 300 young scientists and schoolchildren from 13 municipalities of the Tomsk region took part in the competition. At the reception, the names of 36 winners in different nominations were announced. Over 16 years of competition more than six thousand works have been presented and more than 600 young scientists and young talents have been recognized as the best of the best.

In the Tomsk State Pedagogical University, the regular “Open Pedagogical Class” project  has finished. It was attended by 84 students from educational institutions of Tomsk and the region. This time, only tenth-graders pupils were allowed to participate in the TSPU project. These guys were interested in teaching profession and still have time to choose the faculty and the subject area with which their professional life will be associated.

The spring stage of the project was a kind of completion of the school year: schoolchildren demonstrated what they learned, what they mastered, what they were convinced of during the time of passing the correspondence stages and meetings in real time. Acquired skills allowed to successfully complete the challenging tasks of the career-oriented quest, and conduct a meaningful discussion at a film club meeting as well as to effectively participate in the business game “If I was the Minister of Education”, the winners of which can become assistants in the planning of the “Pedagogical class” events in the next year, 

At the same time, the“Open Pedagogical Class” allowed children to understand from their own experience what lifelong education is: each participant had the opportunity to formulate a “summer assignment” for themselves. Designing an individual educational plan, getting to know the technology of organizing and conducting a modern lesson, meeting with practitioners gave a lot of food for thought and allowed to weigh the pros and cons when choosing a profession.

Last weekend, students of the faculty of technology and entrepreneurs (FTE) successfully showed themselves at the XVI championship of Tomsk region in hairdressing, decorative cosmetics and manicure and took various prizes.

The beauty contest was held at the Palace of Sports, more than 120 masters from eight Siberian cities of Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo and Krasnoyarsk regions took part in it.

FTE students presented our university in several nominations of manicure creativity. Oraz Sobirov (3 year student, 1163 group) with his work called "Vikings" became the winner in the "Hand painting" technique. Third place was taken by Mira Pavlova (4 year student, 1153 group) in the nomination “Modern Manicure” with gel-lacquer painting. The team's coach was the head of the department of applied aesthetics and design of FTE, certified expert on applied aesthetics of WorldSkills Russia Marina Galich.

The future teacher of foreign languages, a student of the TSPU, Darya Abbasova, became the winner of the second All-Russian Student Contest "I am a professional" in the category "Bachelor" in the direction of "Pedagogical education (basic)".

“I am a professional” is a large-scale educational competition of a new format for students of different specialties: technical, humanitarian and natural sciences. The tasks for the participants are made by the experts from leading Russian universities and the largest companies in the country. It is not abstract erudition that is tested, but professional knowledge.

A graduate student of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​Darya Abbasova admits that she tried herself in the contest before, but she didn’t have enough knowledge on pedagogy and teaching methods - the contest is still meant for older students. This year, Daria successfully overcame all stages of the intellectual competition, winning experts with her professional knowledge and skills. The first round of the contest - the verification of the theoretical knowledge in the professional sphere - the participants had to beat online. And in the face-to-face stages it was necessary to prove oneself in practice, which, according to the student, is much more difficult.

“We conducted a model lesson during the regional tour in Novosibirsk, - says Daria. - Despite having experience, it was quite exciting to be under the watchful gaze of six judges - doctors and candidates of sciences, as well as working in front of the camera and with microphones. But I managed to cope and even get the highest score by the criterion of “Managing Your Emotions”.

In addition, teachers were evaluated according to other 15 indicators, including “presentation of information”, “emotional involvement”, “diversity of work”, “capability in Inforamtion technologies” and others. According to the results of this tour, Daria was choosen to participate in the final, which was held in Moscow . Here the participants had to solve a difficult task: solve the conflict situation that arose in the process of interaction between the teacher and the student’s parents.

We were given a description of the situation, after a written analysis of which we had to stage a meeting with “parents” - special actors with professional communication skills”, - says Daria.

In the final round, which was evaluated by five judges, the student of the TSPU managed to show good results. According to the results of all passed tests, Darya was awarded the status of a winner in the nomination “Pedagogical Education”!

Under the terms of the “I am a professional” contest, the best participants are given great opportunities: privileges for admission to master and postgraduate courses at leading universities of the country, internships at famous schools, the inclusion of the best young professionals in the HR database and a cash prize.

“In general, participation in this contest gives a powerful blast of inspiration and confidence, the opportunity to test yourself, get feedback on your work from experienced professionals, get to know colleagues from all over the country and have great memories in the end”, - says Daria.

The team of TSPU physicists under the leadership of Boris Sergeevich Merzlikin, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, researcher of the Center for Theoretical Physics of the TSPU, became the winners of the competition for the right to receive grants of the President of the Russian Federation for state support of young Russian scientists - candidates of sciences in 2019-2020. The scientific project "Supersymmetric quantum field theory and the field of higher spins in various dimensions" was received the grant. The project developers also included employees of the TSPU Timofey Vladimirovich Snegirev, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Researcher of the Research and Development Department, Alexandra Sergeevna Budyohina, Master student of the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the TSPU.
