Modern Methods and Online Technologies in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language
Starts June 8 2021 till June 30 2021
The aims of the program are:
• to update skills and knowledge in Russian language teaching, including culture and e-learning.
• to allow for sharing of good practice and resources amongst fellow international professionals.
• to build a network of teachers to continue development after having returned to home country.
• to gain a Certificate for Attendance and Language from TSPU.
Teachers of Russian as a foreign language, as a rule, are separated in scientific and professional terms. Many of them realize the necessity for consolidation and cooperation with each other and teachers (methodologists) from Russia. The school helps to exchange experience, discuss topical issues and problems of teaching Russian as a foreign language and get acquainted with traditional and new methods of teaching.
The format of the School presumes intensive and effective (3 weeks) interaction of participants in the sphere of scientific and teaching methodological dialogue. At the classes we will present the results of research and applied projects implemented by the staff of the Deparment of Language Theory and Methods of Teaching Russian Language at TSPU. Organizers of the School have got great experience in the participation, organization and realization of scientific, educational-methodological and cultural-educational events dedicated to the problems of linguo culturology, cognitive linguistics, linguistic conceptology and methods of teaching the Russian language.
Projects of the School have repeatedly received support from various scientific and educational funds and programs, including the Russian State Scientific Foundation.
Thematic areas of the TSPU Summer School
for teachers of Russian as a foreign language
• The role and content of e-learning and information technologies in the activities of the teacher of Russian as a foreign language
• Scientific and methodological basics and legal regulations of the Russian state testing system in Russian as a foreign language.
• Innovative technologies for teaching Russian as a foreign language in the context of cultures dialogues.
• Teacher and student: the educational potential of new pedagogical technologies in teaching Russian as a foreign language.
• Cultural and historical Siberia (City tours, cultural events).
The program consists of 90 academic hours, cultural and educational events.
Every day (except Saturday and Sunday) participants of the School take part in thematic seminars, workshops, business games and round tables, individual consultations on final projects.
Final work includes a report and a defense of an individual or a group linguo-didactical project.
Prices: 30 000 rubles (tuition, final test, all materials and accommodation are included)

Tomsk State Pedagogical University (TSPU) kindly asks to fill in the registration form.
Please contact the nearest Russian diplomatic mission or TSPU International office (infocent@tspu.edu.ru) to enquire if you need a visa to enter the Russian Federation for a short-term visit. In case you need a visa, you need an official invitation from TSPU. Citizens of the European Union (excluding the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) and citizens of Iceland, Kingdom of Norway, Switzerland, the USA and China require only an official invitation issued by the university. Usually we issue such invitation on the same business day when we receive the registration form and a copy of your passport. Citizens of other countries require an invitation issued by the police. They issue invitations at the request of the host institution, and they reserve one month for the invitation to be issued.
Please be informed that the university invitations should not be used for tourist purposes.
The visitor visa cannot be extended. The period mentioned in the visa is the period of stay in the Russian Federation. You may not enter earlier or stay in the Russian Federation beyond the dates mentioned in the visa. The Russian border police is very strict with travelers who enter or overstay their visas even for several hours.
