Student of the IFLIC of the TSPU was awarded the title of "Master of Sports of Russia" in aerobics

Arina Khvorostova, a second-year student of the Institute of Foreign Languages and International Cooperation of the TSPU, was awarded the honorary title "Master of Sports of Russia".

For more than 12 years the future teacher of English and German has been engaged in sports activities. Arina started with rhythmic gymnastics, but for a professional career she preferred aerobics, as her physical abilities suit better the power sport.

Her parents chose the beautiful sport for their daughter, but due to the varied training process she still has not lost interest in it. Athletes pump up muscle mass, develop a program of performances, saturating it with elements and honing them to absolute perfection. Even the warm-ups are unique:

"The first hour is always a different warm-up, each of them aimed at a different muscle group, — Arina says. — The rest of the time we work on the elements of the program. I feel great in this process and I can handle the workload very well. The most difficult part for all athletes - performance training when you have to 'clean' the nuances and show a perfect performance".

Arina's efforts pay off: in her career she has won prizes at international, all-Russian and regional championships held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Irkutsk, Barnaul and other cities of our country. It was this rhythm of sports achievements that allowed the student to take the new status of "Master of Sports of Russia". To qualify for the prestigious title, you must score 18 points in one or three performances over the year, where at least eight athletes compete in a high category.

"I've dreamed of this since I was a little girl, and first and foremost this status gives me a reason to be proud of myself and helps me know that I'm successful in achieving my goals", — she said.

For the past year, Arina's sports life has steadily accompanied her pursuit of teaching. The choice of a non-sporting specialty for her was obvious: foreign languages have been attracting her for a long time, and she wanted to succeed not only on the mat. However professional pedagogical competence and soft skills, acquired in high school, also help in sports: since the new academic year, the student will start coaching in the Sports Complex. In addition, the future teacher has plans to join the TSPU aerobics team.

"AUGUST.PRO: MATRIX OF PEDAGOGICAL CHANGES"

Regional Pedagogical Forum "August.PRO: matrix of pedagogical changes" was held in Tomsk on August 18-20. Rector of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University Andrey Nikolaevich Makarenko and specialists of the university joined the opening ceremony and expert sessions.

Russian Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov started the forum by addressing the participants. He summed up the results of the past academic year and emphasized the contribution of teachers to the educational process in a difficult epidemiological period:

"Thanks to the daily selfless work of teachers we became one of the countries in the world that managed to minimize the impact of the pandemic on school educational processes. Everything we do proves that we have no plans to close schools, that we will never allow the distance format to replace the live dialogue between the teacher and the student, to replace the traditional system of education".

At the plenary session of the forum, Lyudmila Mikhailovna Ogorodova, Deputy Governor of the Tomsk Region for Scientific and Educational Complex and Digital Transformation, raised a number of important issues:

"The main point of consolidation of our efforts is to create conditions for upbringing a harmoniously developed and socially responsible personality. The education system, first and foremost, should help the child to get high educational results, which absolutely everyone is capable of"

Teaching communities play a leading role in improving the quality of education, according to the speaker. Professional associations of teachers have been actively created that help each other. A special role in this matter is assigned to Tomsk universities, that is why the region's funding for the construction of the student campus has been confirmed.

The first day of the Forum offered the participants an opportunity to get involved in 26 activities in five topical areas:

  • "Quality Management;
  • "Digital maturity";
  • "Education. Comfort and Safety";
  • "Educator Professional Growth;
  • "Working with Talent."

They were attended by more than four thousand participants, including online, from different regions of Russia.

Presentations were made by Andrei Nikolaevich Makarenko, Rector of Tomsk State Pedagogical University, Irina Borisovna Grabtsevich, Head of Department of General Education of Tomsk region, Yuri Vladimirovich Kalinyuk, Head of Department of Professional Education of Tomsk region.

In his report "Development of Teacher Education: Global Challenges and Regional Scenarios" Rector of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University Andrei Nikolaevich Makarenko outlined the main scenarios of modern teacher education. On the one hand, the system of pedagogical education is transforming under the influence of global and national demands, but on the other hand, it has its own specifics, determined by the peculiarities of the region and regional labor market.

The Tomsk State Pedagogical University is one of the main providers of teachers at different levels of education in the Tomsk region: from pre-school to general and secondary professional education. In order to develop pedagogical education and resolve personnel issues in the region, the University implements key directions, including the creation of a network of basic schools, development of psychological and pedagogical classes ( by 2024 is planned to open 43 of them), the opening of a pedagogical technopark (2021) and pedagogical quantorium (2022), whose functional goals are to become agents of new pedagogical technologies distribution in the regional educational space, which will result in an increase in number and improvement of "quality" of teaching personnel.

A.N. Makarenko paid special attention to the possibilities of master's degree education at the TSPU. Today the university is implementing 32 educational programs with 1,443 students. The most in-demand ones are: "Practical psychology and pedagogy", "Logopedics", "Pedagogy and psychology of inclusive education", "Management in education" (TSPU, TSU), "State and municipal management". In 2022 it is expected to launch new positions related to the introduction of new professions - teacher-methodologist, teacher-mentor, director's advisor on educational work. Master's education will allow you to form new and demanded competencies on already received profession, to receive a new profession in the adjacent to your specialty or another sphere. And, of course, the master's program is the driver of the intensive professional trajectory of teacher's development in scientific, teaching, or management spheres.

At the end of his speech, the rector of the TPSU noted that "to improve the quality of teacher education we need to work together: the university and the teaching community. I urge all of you to actively engage in interaction with our university. We are always open to your suggestions because today Tomsk State Pedagogical University is an open university that is ready both for changes and collegial solutions to important issues of modern pedagogical education.

"BIG BANG TERRITORY" OR THE LOUDEST EVENT OF THE SUMMER FROM THE TEAM OF THE TSPU

Every year at the height of the summer season the team of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University organizes a platform for young, ambitious and active people who meet at the "Mayovka" rally of working youth of Tomsk. Students and staff of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University traditionally hold this event for specialists of different organizations of the city. In 2021 the event was dedicated to the Year of Science and Technology in Russia.

The originator of Mayovka is Dmitry Borisovich Nasonov, vice-rector for youth policy and educational work of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University, who has been heading the festival of creativity, sports, and talent for all 13 years. The purpose of the rally is to establish and strengthen professional, cultural, and creative ties between working youth of the city.

"'Mayovka' is the format that allows you to create a community of working youth, to pull them out of enterprises, from behind computers, which in sometimes difficult in the everyday life", - says the head of the Department of Youth Policy of the Tomsk City Administration Alexander Vladimirovich Lisitsyn.

The theme of "Mayovka-2021" was dedicated to the Russian's Year of Science and Technology, that is why the new season was called "The territory of the big bang":

"We always try to keep up with the times and listen to our participants, so some stages were excluded, and each team competition was evaluated separately. This year there were also new nominations and, accordingly, new cups - for cheerleading, hospitality, and media", — says organizer Irina Titova, who graduated from the TSPU in 2021.

Eleven teams took part in the rally: Home Credit Bank, Tomskneftekhim, Siberian Chemical Company, Central Bank, ELKE AUTO, Russian Post, Sber, Mikran, Research Institute of Semiconductor Devices, Tomsk Beer and Transneft - Western Siberia. Each of them was accompanied for two days by a mentor from among the TSPU students.

"The task of the mentor was to orient their team in the program of events and even in everyday things. For example, where to get firewood and clean water. In addition, the mentors actively participated in the games and trials", — notes Karina Pendiak, a student of the Faculty of History and Philology.

However, the students of the TSPU had a much wider range of responsibilities: the guys were also engaged in writing the script and conducting events. While employees of Tomsk organizations competed in creativity, sports, and talents, students of the TSPU were busy training themselves: in addition to developing and conducting a large-scale mixer for acquaintance and team-building, large thematic role-playing games, which will add new formats to the methodological "piggy bank" of future teachers, students actively interacted with participating teams, developing communication skills and stress resistance, learning to overcome difficult situations and quickly solve problems.

"Mayovka" was held for two days filled with competitive tests. The first day assessed the teams' preparation in terms of creativity: "Gostevanie", where participants prepared a camp and their team mascots; "Business card" - presentation of their organization; "Science.Lab", which offered scientific problems from the mad professor.

The second day was devoted to sports tests: teams competed in strength, agility, and attentiveness. Participants overcame a hiking trail, where they needed not only physical skills, but also logic and wit: the teams were looking for pieces of a special cipher at each stage. After cheerleading, where the jury assessed not only the coherence of movements, synchronicity and dynamics of the performances, but also the unity of the teams. Tug-of-war and lifting weights summed up the second day.

By the results, the winners in different nominations were decided. The Home Credit Bank team won the Friendship Cup, the main prize of any competition. Guys from NIIPP were the most sporty and took the Sports Cup and the Cheerleading Cup, the Creativity Cup went to Siberian Chemical Company, in the competition "Go-Go" the first place went to Transneft - Western Siberia, the most cohesive team was Tomsk beer, and the best video was prepared by employees of ELKE AUTO. According to the results Transneft - Western Siberia became the first, and the Hamburg account prize was awarded to Mikran.

"Mayovka" was established 13 years ago and still unites the ambitious, bright, and active young people of Tomsk. In the future the project is going to reach a wider scale: there are more and more organizations in Tomsk that want to get to the rally.

FROM THE YOUTH SPORTS SCHOOL TO THE "SPORTS ELITE".

More than a hundred applications were received for the annual regional contest "Sports elite" in 2021. The commission evaluated the achievements of Tomsk athletes and coaches and announced the list of winners in numerous nominations. Among the best are the students of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University.

The competition has been held regularly since 1993 to promote sports. Head of the Regional Department of Youth Policy, Physical Culture and Sports Maksim Maksimov said that this year "Sports Elite" was presented in eight main categories: "Best Athlete", "Best Team", "Best Coach", "Best Referee", "Best Specialist of Sports Team", "For Service to Sports", "Sports Propaganda", "Sports Patron". Winners were also determined in a number of other categories, including "Overcoming" (for athletes with disabilities), "Olympic Hope" and "Sports Hope" (for young promising athletes).

In order to participate in the contest the only thing that was needed is the application. An important condition was the first and prize-winning places at competitions of different levels. Protocols from competitions were also required as proof of results. For each victory, the nominee was awarded a certain number of points. As noted by the students of the TSPU, the most valuable were victories at higher level competitions - championships and world championships.

Brothers Dmitry and Ivan Cherkashin, students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sport, were among the winners: Dmitry took the nomination "Best Athlete in Non-Olympic Sports" and Ivan took the nomination "Sports Hope". Students of the third year have been engaged in kettlebell lifting since they were 10 years old under the guidance of the coach of the highest category Timofeev Nikolai Aleksandrovich. At first trainings were necessary for gaining muscle mass and development of power and endurance. Later, children's hobby grew into a serious big sport.

"Like all the nominees, I gave my best shot. I had to face injuries and hardships: sometimes I wanted to go for a walk, but I had to restrict myself in order to get a good sleep and recover. On this hard way I had close people by my side who supported me and didn't let me give up", — said Dmitry.

The place among the winners in the category "Olympic hope" was taken by judoist, student of the TSPU Askarova Alexandra. The girl has engaged in the sports club "Siberia". Last season was more difficult for her than others: the athlete was injured at the Russian championship in Murmansk.

"It was nice to hear about my victory in the competition! I really want to get back on track as soon as possible. Rehabilitation is going well. I hope that soon I will be able to compete for the highest places at all Russian and international competitions", — she told the SportLatat correspondent.

Dmitry Striga, a second-year student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sport, won the nomination "Best Athlete in Olympic Sports". Dmitry has impressive experience - 23 years. The young man reached the professional level in weightlifting at the age of 14, taking part in the competitions for the Russian national team. Since 2014, the athlete performs for Tomsk and trains to this day under the guidance of Bolshoi Alexander Vladimirovich, who is also a graduate of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports of TSPU. Dmitry is especially proud of his performances at the 2016 and 2017 Russian championships, where he took first place. According to the athlete, these competitions were the most important and highest in status.

"To be in the top ten of the strongest is very honorable. In weightlifting, only three people made it to the winners. There were strong competitors in other sports, such as track-and-field athletics", — said Dmitry.

In addition to Dmitry Striga the best athlete in Olympic sports was Baranova Alena, also a student of Physical Culture and Sport, who does cross-country skiing. And Oleg Khoroshkov, a first-year student of the TSPU's Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, became the winner in the category "Overcoming" (sport for the hearting impairment). The young man is engaged in curling.

Athletes are helped to reach such heights not only by their sensitive coaches, but also by the Tomsk State Pedagogical University, which creates all conditions for high-quality training, where theory is in harmony with practice, and victories and achievements are made.

TSPU graduate decorates city with graffiti portraits of famous Tomsk citizens

"Tomsk is the people" is an art and educational project aimed at preserving and increasing the historical memory of outstanding Tomsk residents. Modern portraits of famous personalities appear on Tomsk buildings with brief information to introduce the figure. The second season of the project started with graffiti of Grigory Potanin. The author of the initiative - Konstantin Cherenkov, a history teacher and graduate of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University's Faculty of History and Philology.

The campaign to spread historical knowledge and improve the city began in the summer of 2020 with a portrait of Ivan Yuryevich Moskvitin, a Tomsk Cossack and Russian explorer. Today, the house at 4th Bering Street (Gymnasium No. 26) was decorated with an image of the Russian geographer, ethnographer, public figure Grigory Nikolaevich Potanin.

"I just knew that the portrait of the grandfather of Siberia will appear in Tomsk and we did it, — says Konstantin. — Potanin was a legendary citizen of Tomsk: he was a scientist, a politician, the first honorary citizen of Siberia, the creator of symbols of Siberia..."

The author is convinced that history and aesthetics should become a standard for Tomsk residents, and culture should go from the suburbs to the center. In order to involve residents of the city in the project, people's voting was started: citizens could choose whose portraits will decorate city streets, which famous personalities will be known in Siberia. Around 600 people took part in the poll, images of the three winners will appear in Tomsk in the second season of the project. The first three places, according to residents, went to G. N. Potanin, Maria Leontievna Bochkareva, one of the first Russian female officers and creator of the first female battalion in Russian army history, and Sergei Alexandrovich Belov, basketball player, 1972 Olympic champion, and two-time world champion.

"The portrait of Bochkareva is to be painted on the building of school number 40 on Nikitina street, and that of Belov on Zonalnaya Station," — said the author.

The second season of the program is supported by the Department of Youth Policy, Physical Culture and Sports of Tomsk Oblast, whose grant in the regional competition of youth projects "Your Idea" the project of the THPU graduate won last December, coming first in the category "Patriotism and Citizenship".

"There were many projects in the competition, but Konstantin's initiative seemed the most interesting, — comments Kirill Antonov, Deputy Head of the Department, Chairman of the Youth Policy Committee. — Properly made murals and graffiti - is, firstly, a way to improve the level of local history knowledge: not every Tomsk resident knows who, for example, Grigory Potanin was, what role he played in our city. And secondly, it is a decoration of the city".

Kirill Maksimovich expressed confidence that modern heroes may appear on Tomsk buildings as well: for instance, thousands of medics, who fight coronavirus infection every day. In the future, seven more images of famous personalities will also appear on city buildings, including the portraits of Georgy Mokeevich Markov, Hero of Socialist Labour, the elder Fedor Kuzmich, the Russian commander, the participant of World War I and the Civil War Anatoly Nikolayevich Pepelyaev, and others.

WORLD CHAMPION AND OTHER VICTORIES: SUCCESSES OF TSPU STUDENTS AT THE WORLD FLIPPER CHAMPIONSHIP

The World Championship in underwater swimming has been held in Tomsk. Alexandra Skurlatova, a student of the fifth year of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sport of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University, won the victory places and prizes, set European and Russian records, and also became the world champion as a member of the women's national team.

The World Diving Championship included the World Flipper Championship, the International Student Championships, and the World Diving Championship. Tournaments took place in Tomsk "Zvezdnyi" Water Sports Center, about 380 athletes from more than 30 countries took part in them.

Alexandra Skurlatova was a member of the Russian national team which took part in the World Flipper Championship. Our team showed good results by winning gold in the medal standings and women's (with Alexandra's participation) and men's teams became world champions. In addition, our student won first place in the 4x100 individual distance relay and second place in the 4x50 relay setting the European and Russian records.

Her main rivals were the Chinese and Ukrainian teams. According to the athlete, there are very strong diving schools in these countries. However, despite the good preparation of the competitors, our team managed to win. And no wonder, because our athletes are trained since childhood, including Alexandra: when she was six years old, coaches of the pool "Victory" highly appreciated her potential. The student has been perfecting her skills there for 18 years under the keen guidance of her coaches Grigory Shumkov and Alexander Demjanovich. Alexandra has been preparing for the world competition for two years: originally the tournament was to be held in 2020, but it was postponed because of the pandemic:

"Preparations and expectations stretched over a long period of time, which is why these two training seasons were very difficult, but I think we together with the coaches have done well and showed how strong we can be", — says the athlete.

According to Alexandra, to perform "at home" is very pleasant and exciting at the same time: on the one hand, you feel the strong support of your loved ones and on the other - you worry about how to perform at your best.

Following the results of the championship, the athlete was selected for the World Games to be held next year in America. At that event, the girl will represent the Russian national team in two disciplines: 4x100 relay and 100m individual medley in the fins.

Besides such a great sport event, Alexandra participated in international students competitions representing the Tomsk State Pedagogical University and won the silver medal at 50m diving.

No less important performances as a member of the Russian national underwater sports team are ahead of Alexandra, that's why the preparation is already in full swing.

THE USA TEACHER ON THE AMERICAN EDUCATION SYSTEM

On July 16, in the reading room of the Science Library of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University, Oleg Voskresensky, philologist, master of theology, PhD in pedagogy, co-author of textbooks "Fundamentals of Orthodox culture" and "Fundamentals of World Religious Cultures", teacher of master courses of Belgorod Orthodox Theological Seminary, altar server of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Resurrection in Fridley, Minnesota, USA, delivered an open lecture on "Basics of Christian Pedagogy".

The meeting was held as part of the activities of the International Scientific and Practical Center for Axiology and Methodology of Spiritual and Moral Formation at the TSPU:

"The Center tries to build international connections as much as possible in order to study and analyze the experience of other specialists in the field of education and upbringing. It is very important that this lecture was given at our university because the attendants were also able to get acquainted with the American system of education and the role of the teacher in it. We hope for long-term cooperation and plan to continue our collaboration in different formats", — said Anastasia Koshechko, Director of the Centre.

At the beginning of the lecture, the speaker emphasized the role of the teacher not only in the Christian tradition but also in the education system as a whole:

"Teaching is the most blessed profession in the world. Each of us chooses a trade because of some factors and conditions. One way or another, we are limited in our choices. And God - the one who was not limited in this at all - gave preference to teaching."

With reference to the Commandments, the lecturer explained how the Christian tradition is linked to the most important principles of teaching: to teach everyone with no exceptions, to enlighten students, to devote oneself completely to teaching, to be an example to one's students.

The most important principle of the Christian tradition is legitimacy because the world is built according to the law. As the American expert noted, in today's world there is no respect for the law, which is perceived only as a restriction, which leads to violence. Equally important is the principle of unity in multiplicity. It is realized in the diversity of people and their difference from one another, in the uniqueness of each individual and in the ability to accept those characteristics in one's neighbor.

In order to reveal the divine intention in a child, a great deal of effort and time is required on the part of the educator. In this is expressed the principle of immortality of the soul. Otherwise, human existence loses its former meaning. One of the main tasks of an educator, according to the lecturer, is to discover the child's vocation. At the same time, the latter is absolutely free in his choice and therefore has the right both to make a mistake and to try again.

The art of dissent, as another important principle of the Christian tradition, begins with the recognition that it is possible to dissent. Denial instantly shuts down all channels of communication between people. In turn, positive thinking makes it possible to find that very agreement, not to stop at compromise, because it is always a solution that is equally unsatisfactory to all. The rejection of any compromise as a constraint on our resources leads people to an agreement that comes from their boundlessness.

The presumption of kindness proceeds from the assumption that everyone is honest, innocent, unselfish, and friendly by default until they have proven otherwise.

According to Oleg Vladislavovich, teachers have been given a very high bar, a model that at first glance is unattainable. At the same time, there is the experience of teachers who have achieved some success in implementing the principles discussed in the lecture. Today's generation of teachers is gradually abandoning attitudes that are alien to the teaching profession and returning to more timeless and universal ones:

"In today's young generation I see mainly the realization of two important principles - positive thinking and the presumption of kindness. Today's young people are looking for something to lean on, abandoning inhibitions, being on the lookout for the positive. I can see that an attitude of respect for the human being and love for one's neighbor prevails in young people".

The audience, which included students, faculty, and staff, also discussed the unique nature of the American and Russian educational systems and found some differences between them. Oleg Vladislavovich pointed out, based on his personal experience, that Russian students are a year and a half to two years ahead of their American peers, because Russian education is primarily knowledge-based, while American education is aimed at developing practical skills.

The status of the teacher in American pedagogy is also different from the status of the teacher in the Russian tradition. The U.S. is a territorial amalgamation of different individual states, so there is no universal model that works across America. There are also no model manuals because every teacher creates a unique experience in his or her class.

You can become a teacher in the states by taking special courses and modules that allow you to teach your specialty in school, but you don't need to do it to teach at university. Before going to teach children in school, a specialist gains experience in his or her specialty in the "field".

The meeting with the interesting speaker showed the students from the TSPU features of Christian pedagogical tradition and the peculiarity of the American educational system, which allowed them to find trends prevailing in the development of modern teaching.

TOMSK STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY IS THE BEST EMPLOYER IN TOMSK REGION BY POPULAR VOTE OF THE EMPLOYMENT SERVICE

The Tomsk State Pedagogical University and the State Employment Service of Tomsk Region have been cooperating for many years. On July 15 the Service summarized the results of its work with the city organizations and announced the results of the established award for the best employers in the region. the TSPU won in the category "Contribution to the Development of the Employment Service".

Winners were determined by popular vote based on the 2019-2021 interaction with the Employment Service. The Tomsk State Pedagogical University won the award, including for its contribution to the professional development of young people.

This year, based on a bilateral agreement between the Tomsk State Pedagogical University and the Employment Service, schoolchildren, students from 9-10 grades have the opportunity to undergo work experience training at the university. The guys work in the university admissions office, as well as with archive materials on languages and cultures of small peoples of Siberia. In the latter case, schoolchildren digitize archives of linguistic and ethnographic materials at the Department of Languages of the Peoples of Siberia at the TSPU under the guidance of Associate Professor Sergey Vasilievich Kovylin, Candidate of Philological Sciences:

"For that purpose a specialized scanner and a computer are used. Initially there was an instruction on how to process the material, what formats to choose and the importance of proper processing of the material for its further storage and use. In the process of work the guys acquired new professional skills of work with the computer and skills of team work. Employment during summer vacation in general allows school students to prepare for adult life, get their first work experience, and get a good financial reward".

CREATE A CHARACTER FROM "AMONG US" OR A JET ENGINE MODEL? IT'S EASY AT THE TSPU'S PHYSICS CENTER!

The Center for Additional Physics and Mathematics, and natural-science Education of the TSPU is actively working on 3D Modeling, Prototyping, and Additive Technologies using equipment purchased as part of the "People of the Future" grant.

The project has been developing for the second year under the supervision of Olga Sergeevna Netesova, senior teacher of the Department of Informatics of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the TSPU. The teacher conducts such disciplines as "Robotics", "Educational Robotics" and "Organization of additional education of children in robotics" for students of Physics and Mathematics Faculty, Faculty of Technology and Entrepreneurship and Institute of Childhood of the TSPU, and also trains future teachers to implement professional activities in the Center of digital and humanitarian education for schoolchildren "Point of Growth".

In order to cover the entire range of possibilities of 3D printers, Olga Sergeevna took the initiative of organizing additional classes: worschops in 3D modeling and printing were launched at the TSPU Center:

"At 80-90%, 3D modeling is primarily the development of 3D models. Printing itself is not too difficult, the main thing is to know the principles of the printer's work. The main task is to develop a 3D model according to a certain technical task, which often has to be created by oneself".

Within the framework of the project "Tehnovolunteers of Enlightenment of TSPU" students of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University can apply to the Center when they just need to print an existing model on a 3D printer when there is a need to develop a model, as well as when they want to learn 3D modeling on their own. The purposes of the students are absolutely different: from creation of small details with which one can restore an object to printing sculptural decorative models. The printer can also be used to create a number of didactic tools and materials that are important in the work of students in various departments.

Alexander Malyshev, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics and a lab assistant at the TSPU, expressed his desire to learn how to use 3D printers; now he works with students and schoolchildren, constructing various 3D models. For example, a figurine of a character from the popular game "Among Us" or a sectional view model of a jet engine, which allows you to see the internal compressors, combustion chamber and trace the principles of its operation.

"Problems that anyone can encounter when printing on a 3D printer is the printed model not sticking well to the table and "going out of place"; creating a crumbly and brittle model caused by an incorrect temperature setting; problems caused by errors made when writing the program for printing, and more. But with training and your own interest, these difficulties can be avoided and you can get a high-quality, unique model", — says Alexander.

Training in 3D modeling is also useful for students' practical training. For example, students of the Faculty of Engineering, having attended a master class back in May, were able to apply their knowledge in developing models of company logos together with their pupils. Students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics also had an opportunity to use the capabilities of 3D modeling and 3D printing during summer practice, working with children on research projects.

Already in October of the next academic year, the TSPU Physics and Mathematics Center is waiting for all students interested in developing the skills of using additive technologies in their professional activities and improving their qualifications in the field of digital technology.
