Admissions Campaign at Russian Pedagogical Universities
On June 20, pedagogical universities across Russia, overseen by the Ministry of Education, opened admissions for the new academic year. This year, 36 universities are offering more than 37,000 state-funded spots.
Applicants can submit applications to up to five universities and choose up to five programs or majors at each institution.
«Based on the results of the 2024 admissions campaign, teaching programs once again ranked among the most popular choices for applicants, — said Russian Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov. — We truly value and support the desire of young people to contribute to the development of the education system and the upbringing of future generations. I’d like to note that 70% of students at our pedagogical universities study on a state-funded basis. Moreover, starting this academic year, the top-performing students will be eligible for special named scholarships in recognition of their academic excellence. I am confident that this admissions season, teaching programs will remain in high demand».
Applications for bachelor’s and specialist degree programs at state-funded universities will be accepted until July 25. For master’s programs, applicants can submit their documents from June 20 to August 20.
Starting in 2025, applicants will be able to submit their education documents to pedagogical universities through the «Gosuslugi» state portal. To complete the enrollment process, candidates must also provide official consent to enroll in a specific institution.
Students can apply to programs that offer two or even three areas of specialization, which significantly broadens their career prospects. This year, students applying under targeted training agreements will also receive more points for individual achievements—up to 10 points for general accomplishments and 5 additional points for career-oriented activities.
his year, Tomsk State Pedagogical University (TSPU) offers applicants more than 70 academic programs across bachelor’s, specialist, and master’s degrees.
