TSPU IS IN THE TOP-3 PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITIES BY THE NUMBER OF AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS BY THE RUSSIAN SCIENCE FOUNDATION
This time the Russian Science Foundation selected 2017 works: 54 projects were submitted by pedagogical universities, of which four were submitted by the Tomsk State Pedagogical University. In terms of the number of scholarships won, our university was among the top three pedagogical universities
The first scholarship, "An Integral Description of the Chulym-Turkic Language Based on the Electronic Corpus of Linguistic Data", is related to scientific research of the famous linguistic school of Professor A. P. Dulzon. The project team headed by Valeria Mikhailovna Lemskaya, Deputy Director for Science at the Institute of Foreign Languages and International Cooperation, includes Denis Mikhailovich Tokmashev, Associate Professor at the Department of English Philology and Intercultural Communication, and Mark Zimin and Alina Kuzmina, students majoring in Translation and Translation Studies
«The project is designed for two years, — comments Valeria Mikhailovna. — Actually, this is an extension of my long-term research, which I started back in graduate school — documentation and study of the endangered Chulym-Turkic language. Currently, there are no more than 10 native speakers of the two remaining dialects. I hope the successful implementation of the project will not only contribute to the accumulation of scientific knowledge, but also preserve the unique Chulym language. I'm also happy that our students will take part in it. In this way, we hope to ensure the continuity and development of the linguistic research of the Andrey Petrovich Dulzon school».
The result of the work is an integral description of the Chulym-Turkic language on the basis of the electronic corpus of language data. Such a description on the material of an endangered unwritten minority language of Siberia had not been done before, so the obtained result will be characterized by considerable scientific novelty. In addition, the tested research methodology has significant potential to become a subject model for the integral description of other unwritten and early written languages of the peoples of Siberia
The supervisors of the other three winning scholarships by the Russian Science Foundation were scientists-physicists from the TSPU.
The project "Classification of Exact Solutions of Vacuum Maxwell and Einstein-Maxwell Equations in Homogeneous Spaces and Admissible Electromagnetic Fields" is presented by Professor Valery Vladimirovich Obukhov, director of the Institute for Scientific research and Development.
The project is aimed at implementing the classification of exact solutions of vacuum Maxwell equations and electrovacuum solutions of Einstein-Maxwell equations for homogeneous spaces and admissible electromagnetic fields. Its relevance is determined by several circumstances:
«On the one hand, the problem of exact integration of the equations considered in the project belongs to the fundamental problems of mathematical physics, and the research will contribute to the further development of the apparatus of mathematical physics, — says the researcher. — On the other hand, the exact solutions of the vacuum Einstein-Maxwell equations for homogeneous spaces are of considerable interest in the theory of gravitation, for example, in cosmology when constructing anisotropic models of the universe».
The work "Radiation of charged particles in the gravitational wave field" was supervised by Professor Vladimir Yakovlevich Epp, Professor at the Department of Physics and Methods of Teaching Physics, Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.
During the implementation, expressions will be derived for the spectral, angular, and polarization characteristics of the radiation generated by a charged particle in the gravitational wave. In the approximation of a weak gravitational field it is planned to study the properties of electromagnetic radiation that has passed through the gravitational wave field. It will be evaluated the possibility of detecting the gravitational wave by the reaction of the interstellar plasma to its effects.
Of particular note is the scholarship "Study of processes of generation and implementation by students of professional and pedagogical initiatives and the degree of their technologization in university practices" led by Associate Professor Mikhail Alexandrovich Chervonny, professor of the Department of Physics and Methodology of teaching physics of Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. The project is related to updating the context of teacher education, which, according to the head, "will ensure the total innovativeness of the education system" as a whole:
«The development of information and communication technologies significantly changes the context of pedagogical education, opening up new prospects for the progress of society and a state. In this context, the training of a teacher working for the future, based on the generation and implementation by students of professional and pedagogical initiatives, which will provide total innovation of the education system becomes relevant».
The research project intends to analyze and identify the degree of technologization of existing university educational practices of teacher training, based on the consideration of professional initiatives of students and aimed at the preparation of the initiative student-teacher. The result of the research should be a new effective educational and initiative model for the preparation of the initiative student teacher.
