TSPU TEAM TOOK LEADING POSITIONS OF UNIVERSITY CUP

At the "Amber" skiing resort, the second stage of the "University Cup" sports event was held. Teams of six city universities took part in it, the TSPU took the second place.

Eight students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the TSPU took part in the ski race (6 km) and the track and field race (5 km). Antonina Evseeva, Alexandra Abramova, Kirill Kompaniets and Danila Romanchenko competed in the "Running" discipline; the ski distance was covered by Maxim Tolkachev, Danila Baidashev, Elizaveta Kolchedantseva, Daria Kholbutaeva.

According to Kirill Kompaniets, the race was difficult: loose snow caused troubles, it took a lot of strength to deal with several steep climbs. Athletes had to choose a route wisely in order to quickly overcome a certain interval of distance, this required not only physical but also intellectual efforts.

In the athletics race, Alexandra Abramova and Antonina Evseeva came first and second among girls, respectively. In the overall standings, the team of the Tomsk State Pedagogical University was the second.
