TSPU postgraduate student is a prize winner of the VOCALISTS COMPETITION
The postgraduate student of the Faculty of Culture and Arts of the TSPU, the soloist of the Tomsk Philharmonic, Yevgeny Steinmiller became a prize winner of the V International Vocalists' Competition named after Pavel Lisitsian.
58 young vocalists from cities of Russia and seven countries of the world - China, Italy, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Uzbekistan arrived in Vladikavkaz, the homeland of the opera singer Pavel Lisitsian, to participate in the competition. Tomsk was represented by a postgraduate student of the TSPU, soloist of the Tomsk Philharmonic - Eugene Steimiller.
- I applied for participation in the end of August, as soon as I found out about the contest, - says Eugene. - And immediately started to prepare arias and romances. Because the competition was held in two sections - opera and chamber.
Epitalam Vindeksa from the opera "Nero" by A. Rubinstein, a romance by Wolfram from "Tannhäuser " by R. Wagner, an aria of Eugene Onegin from the opera of the same name by PI. Tchaikovsky and Figaro's aria from "The Wedding of Figaro" by V.A. Mozart, four romances, including Tchaikovsky's romances, and one folk song "On Elnichku" - here with such musical baggage the baritone of the Tomsk Philharmonic went to the competition.
As a result, Yevgeny Steinmiller became a prize winner of the contest and was awarded with special diplomas and prizes from public organizations of Vladikavkaz. The organizers of the contest also expressed their gratitude to Svetlana Nikolaevna Kravchenko, professor of TSPU for her help in preparing the contestant for participation.
