TEACHER’S DAY AT TSPU

A festive concert dedicated to the Teacher’s day was held at the Tomsk State Pedagogical University. Representatives of the city administration and educational organizations came together to congratulate the present and future teachers. In a solemn atmosphere, Deputy Mayor of the City of Tomsk for Social Policy Tatyana Vladimirovna Domnich on behalf of the Mayor of Tomsk presented the Tomsk State Pedagogical University's rector Valery Vladimirovich Obukhov the Medal of the City of Tomsk  for meritorious work, thanking him for the successful long-term work in the field of higher education and personal contribution to the development of the Tomsk education system. The Administration of the Tomsk region had congratulated the head of the practice department Perova Olga for many years of fruitful work and great contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists. The highest award of the TSPU - the silver medal "For merits in the sphere of education and science" - for many years of conscientious work and the significant contribution to the training of scientific and pedagogical staff was given to Svetlana Vasilievna Nizkodubova, doctor of medical sciences, professor, head of the department of biomedical disciplines. This year a new contest was included in the celebration program – "Best Teacher of the TSPU". The best of the best in each faculty was chosen by university students, giving their votes for someone who, in their opinion, is worthy of being called the "Teacher of the Year". Prestigious title was won by ten teachers, one from each faculty of TSPU.
