The world championship in kettlebell lifting had ended in St. Petersburg. Brothers Dmitry and Ivan Cherkashin, students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the TSPU, showed the best results.
On the first day of the prestigious competition, Dmitry confidently won the status of world champion in the classic double-event. In the 85 kg category, the athlete showed the following results: jerk - 148, snatch - 195, total - 245.5. The strongest athlete of the world championship among juniors in the 85 kg category was Ivan, who took gold by making 83 lifts.

The project "Museum — is a center for the revival of the Chulym culture" became one of the winners in the "Medium grant" nomination of the "Museum - a point of growth" competition organized by the Department of Culture of the Tomsk Region and the Tomsk Regional Museum of Local Lore named after M. B. Shatilov in the framework of the governor's program.

The brand new project, developed by the teacher of the Department of Informatics of the TSPU, software engineer Vyacheslav Yuryevich Likhachev, was supported by the Innovation Promotion Foundation under the "UMNIK" program after the TSPU participated in the Digital Breakthrough competition, where the Guinness record was set for the largest hackathon. Students of the Governor's Svetlensky Lyceum met with the rector of the TSPU Andrey Nikolaevich Makarenko within the framework of the project "School of Successful Life". The goal of the project is to tell young adults about personal way to the heights of public, social and career success by the example of the life stories of famous people in Tomsk and the Tomsk region.
