A Historic Milestone: First Graduating Class of the TSPU–JLU Dual-Diploma Program

A landmark event has taken place at the Institute of Foreign Languages and International Cooperation at Tomsk State Pedagogical University: the first graduation of the joint dual-diploma program, launched in 2022 in partnership with Jilin Huaqiao University of Foreign Languages (Changchun, China).

A total of 36 students from China have successfully completed the program. They underwent rigorous theoretical and practical training under the guidance of leading academic staff from both countries. Each graduate now holds two higher education degrees—one from TSPU and one from Jilin University.

Programs like this align with the strategic priorities of the Russian Ministry of Education: promoting the export of Russian education, strengthening academic partnerships, and building a shared humanitarian space. By training professionals who can navigate cross-cultural environments with ease and who are skilled in the cutting edge teaching methods, the initiative makes a significant contribution to international coopertaion.
